COVID-19 Employee Safety/Cleaning Checklist
General Cleaning and Disinfection Routine

-
When the cleaning team arrives at a property, they will secure their face covering and sanitize their hands using a CDC approved hand sanitizer.
-
The team will gather their cleaning equipment and linens for the property, and will place items in a designated sanitized area that the team supervisor has approved.
-
Employees will wash their hands thoroughly. They will follow the “Five ways to wash your hands the right way” guide that the CDC recommends, they will then put on gloves. If an employee needs to remove their gloves at any time, they will thoroughly re-wash hands and put on a new pair of gloves.
-
The team will turn off the Heating/Cooling system in the house and will open the windows for a minimum of 20 minutes. If possible, the team will leave the windows open during the entire cleaning process.
-
One employee will strip the beds and collect dirty linens, while the other employee will use a Disinfectant fogger and spray all surfaces including the mattress, pillows, furniture, and any curtains throughout the house.
-
After the disinfectant has had the time needed to disinfect the surfaces the team will start their cleaning routine.
-
The team will focus on all touchable surfaces throughout the house. Light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, cabinet pull handles, and faucet handles are just a few of the areas that will be addressed.
-
The disinfectant we are using has been approved for use on sofas, rugs, curtains, and other soft, porous surfaces. We will remove any visible dirt and grime and use the appropriate cleaner for the material. If possible, we will machine-wash the items according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
-
